The well-known Otherside metaverse game’s parent company, Yuga Labs, has teamed up with upscale clothing brand Gucci to introduce a line of jewelry containing Otherside-themed non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Gucci Partners With Yuga To Release NFTs With Otherside Themes
Early last week, Yuga revealed « Otherside: Relics by Gucci », a limited-edition collection of tangible Gucci items and accompanying NFTs interwoven into the narrative of Otherside, Yuga’s long-awaited ape-themed metaverse game, and the two companies signed a multi-year agreement.
With the new connection, Yuga Labs, the $4 billion firm, plans to release a fixed set of 3,333 KodaPendants, an NFT collection that functions as both a tangible piece of jewelry and a non-fungible token that will grant access to a number of benefits in the Otherside metaverse.
Along with other digital benefits, KodaPendants will include a special silver necklace. According to Yuga Labs, the brand-new NFT assortment will also open up exclusive cosmetic choices for Otherside avatars, which will be on sale the following month. Beginning on April 6, 2023, a new physical NFT collection will be available.
Overview of KodaPendants NFTs
According to the site’s announcement, cryptocurrency users who own Koda or Vessel NFTs will have access to the new digital KodaPendants NFTs. Last week, Yuga Labs released « Legends of the Mara », a much-anticipated 2D standalone metaverse game that deepens the storyline of the Otherside realm.
When the Legends of the Mara game’s final week began, all users who had Otherdeed NFTs were eligible to claim Vessel NFTs, which would later turn into Koda NFTs. All Otherdeed NFT holders will have access to KodaPendants, to put it simply. The physical Gucci pendants, however, will only be accessible to citizens of a few nations, including as Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Canada. The new product is ineligible for citizens of Africa, Central America, and South American countries.
